You will obviously have read through the brief information about our home posted on my profile but I thought it worth mentioning that the house can be sold with most of the furniture included in the asking price if required by the buyer. Just a thought, but perhaps worth bearing in mind for those working on a tight budget.
Barraca d'Aguas Vivas is located in a beautiful orange valley at the foot of the Sierra Agulles mountains and Gandia is just about 25 mins away via the CV-50 and N332. Oliva via the AP7 motorway is about 10 minutes further on. We are nicely situated to have a fairly authentic Spanish life but with a few English folk scattered throughout the valley and the towns of Gandia and Oliva handily placed to satisfy any longings for English chatter and home comforts, we consider that we have the best of all worlds. The friendly village of Barraca can provide all that we need on a daily basis including shops, banking and medical facilities and social venues, so journeys out from the valley are very much on a 'want to do' rather than a 'have to do' basis. Our need to downsize is purely for medical reasons and we are not planning on moving too far away from the good friends and neighbours we have here.

Many thanks for your enquiry about my villa.
We are situated on an urbanisation about 15mins drive to Denia and just under 10mins drive to long sandy beaches. We have two other towns and a new modern shopping centre about 6 or 7 mins drive away which are fine for everyday needs. Public transport is very limited and it is essential to have a car being sensible although taxies are not expensive to get you to a point where public transport is more readily available.
The urbanisation has social facilities, bars and restaurants but does not have any shops.

Thanks for the message about my mums villa. It is in Altea la Vella which is a beautiful village a couple of KMs from the beach and set in the mountains. I actually live in the village and couldn't imagine living anywhere else!
